About this session:
Government regulators and law enforcement are increasingly requiring companies to create effective Ethics and Compliance Programs as a way of addressing the wave of international bribery, corruption, and corporate ethical failures. Many countries are also joining the United States in more aggressively enforcing these new requirements and Anti-Corruption laws that have been on the books for years.
In many instances, enforcement authorities will provide alternative resolutions and special consideration to companies facing government action who can demonstrate prior comprehensive actions to create a strong ethics and compliance program and ethical culture.
This session will explore the value of using independent assessments and evaluation as a tool to proactively examine the strength of a company’s ethical culture and the effectiveness of its compliance activities.
Presented by a the former Inspector General of a US federal government agency who now assesses ethics and compliance programs globally, the session will provide participants with real-life case studies and scenarios to teach companies some of techniques for creating a world-class, integrated anti-fraud program that meets government requirements for Ethics and Compliance.
