Carol Simms
Carol Simms joined AMI in September 2007 as Office/Billing Manager
My extensive prior experience in both the legal and medical fields has given me a better understanding of the client and monitoring contracts and dovetailed nicely with my position at AMI. When I joined AMI, it was still a young company, and it was invaluable to already have experience with growing companies in distinctive fields.
What is the culture of AMI?
What aspect(s) of AMI's work are you personally most passionate about, and why?
Working with my staff and finding solutions to problems as they arise is very fulfilling for me and gives me a sense of accomplishment when issues are resolved satisfactorily. So many of our monitoring engagements are unique, and I’m motivated by the careful thought and collaboration that goes into the best solution for each client.
What energizes you at work?
Three things come to mind right away: 1) Conversations with my staff and exploring different ideas that they bring to the table. 2) Offering solutions when issues arise. 3) Being part of a group of wonderful people!

Do you have a hidden talent you'd like to share?
I really enjoy cooking, and appreciate whenever I can find the time to indulge and experiment.
What's your favorite sport?
My favorite sport is hockey, and I’m a big fan of Brad Marchand. Go Bruins!
What interests do you have outside of work?
Apart from my earlier reference to cooking, I also really enjoy hiking, reading and swimming. A good balance of physical and mental engagement really makes life fulfilling!
