My corporate role as a Compliance and Monitoring Associate has led me to work with AMI teams monitoring areas involved in Consumer Protection, Suspension and Debarment, and Anti-Trust.

I’m passionate about a number of areas here at AMI, from the way we handle tough monitorships to how we show companies the benefits of a positive compliance culture, but my most passionate talking point, one that I speak of often to friends and family, is the level of commitment and compassion that each person working at AMI has for each other and for the work.

As a former tutor, I see much of our work through a lens of learning, which aligns with AMI’s remedial approach to monitorships. This has helped me view monitorships as a path for a company and its various members to learn how thinking about compliance in the long-term adds real-world value to the company, those who work for and work with the company, and their customers.

Although it may not be the easiest path, one of our goals is to provide companies and individual professionals the opportunity to rehabilitate. We understand monitorships to be an option for a company or individual to grow and learn from past mistakes while remaining a viable business or enterprise.

I love to hike and cook, read and write, meditate and listen to various podcasts. That being said, my main interest right now is gardening. I used to work on a small-scale organic farm tending a market garden and various livestock during summer and winter college breaks, so it feels good to finally have a small patch of land to nurture and tend.
