Affiliated Monitors Announces Policy and Advisory Board

BOSTON, Mass., Oct. 13, 2004 -- Affiliated Monitors, Inc. (AMI) today announced the creation of a Policy and Advisory Board consisting of leaders in the legal, healthcare and insurance industries who will guide and advise the company.

AMI, which developed a new model for working with licensed professionals who are sanctioned, also provides compliance plans, audits, manuals and training. Attorney Vincent L. DiCianni, who founded AMI, previously served as Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and represented clients before licensing boards for 16 years.

In addition to setting policies and advising the management of AMI, the board will review reports from monitors to ensure compliance with all regulations.

"AMI's Policy and Advisory Board includes distinguished professionals from many different disciplines," DiCianni said. "Members of the board have in-depth knowledge of government regulations and many years of professional experience. I know of no other organization whose board can offer the level of collective knowledge and practical experience in compliance issues that our board provides."

The Honorable Albert H. Burns of Belmont, a retired Justice who served the Massachusetts Trial Court for 18 years as the Presiding Justice of the Brighton Division of the Massachusetts District Court Department and as Acting Presiding Justice of several other courts. A college instructor for more than 30 years, he also served as Site Supervisor at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. A member of various bar associations, he served as president of the Cambridge-Arlington-Belmont Bar Association.

James J. Caruso, Jr., a former Assistant Attorney General who served for 15 years in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit . He will also serve as AMI's Healthcare Client Services Coordinator.

Thomas J. Kennedy of Auburn, CEO and Director of the CTC Public Safety Technology Center in Westboro, and a former second-in-command with the Massachusetts State Police. He will also serve as a Vice President at AMI.

Steven M. Mirin, M.D. of Concord, a d istinguished Fellow and former Medical Director for the American Psychiatric Association, as well as former President and Psychiatrist in Chief at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Vincent V. Nieroda, C.P.C.U. of Quincy, f ormer President and CEO at Pilgrim Insurance Company of Boston and former Vice President of Claims for Safety Insurance Company.
